Feels Good to be Home

After being on the road a lot with the BC Ski Team at the start of this season, I was recently able to spend a little bit of time at home and visit with everyone at the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club before heading off to Kimberley. Grouse has been my second home for so many years, and it was great to pop into the Tyee cabin to see the different age groups and familiar coaches. I even got to ski a set course with the U8, U10 and U12 athletes, lap with groups, and present awards for the U12 and U14 Athletes of the Month, not to mention give away some swag from sponsors and personal stuff too. The best part is that I got to coach with my dad, Vladimir (or Vlad to most Tyees), who is club’s U10 head coach and has been a mentor to me all these years. A great day!
